You are probably aware of the basics of the Injen cold air intake: rerouting the air intake outside the engine bay (or at least closer to the front of the car) to gulp cooler air, which is denser, which results in higher power output. So how do the folks at Injen air intake do things differently? Light weight is a key attribute to all Injen intake systems. After all, if an Injen intake adds a bunch of weight, it would offset all the extra horsepower. So Injen intakes are constructed of lightweight aluminum and plastic components to minimize weight. Another key to the performance of Injen intakes is the flexibility they provide in routing your system. If you drive in wet weather a lot, your Injen intake will probably need to stay under hood to prevent water damage to your motor. But if wet weather isn't a problem, or you have a full-race vehicle, your Injen intake can route completely outside the engine bay for the coolest air possible. And you can swap your Injen intake between full-length and under hood configurations easily, too. Couple all those design features with the Injen intake velocity stack built in to each Injen intake air filter, and you've got a winning design.

RD Series Race Division Intake Systems
The RD series is a cold air intake system for the enthusiast craving mid-range power. The intake tube is strategically placed behind the front bumper to acquire colder, denser air. Although most of the RD series is a one-piece design, several are two-piece designs due to the mass air flow meters.
