3M Plastic Emblem and Trim Adhesive (1 oz.)

Reattaching a loose emblem, a popped-off side molding, or a tail light lens that has worked its way free — that is exactly what 3M's Plastic Emblem and Trim Adhesive is made for. This solvent-based adhesive comes in a small 1 oz tube and bonds plastic or metal emblems, interior rigid plastic, tail light lenses, vinyl side moldings, and upholstery trim back into place.

It dries clear, which matters when you are working around transparent or translucent plastics where a visible glue line would look sloppy. Working time is about 10 to 30 seconds once applied, so you need to get your pieces lined up before the adhesive starts to set. Full cure takes about 24 hours, and once cured, the bond resists water and heat — both important for parts exposed to weather on the exterior of a vehicle.

One tube goes a long way since emblem and trim jobs only need a thin layer. Apply it to both surfaces for the strongest bond and hold the pieces together firmly while the adhesive grabs.
