Chevron Techron is the gold-standard fuel system cleaner — the one mechanics trust because it actually works. If your engine is idling rough, hesitating on acceleration, or failing emissions tests, carbon buildup in the fuel injectors, intake valves, or combustion chambers is often the culprit. One bottle of Techron can clean out months of deposits in a single tank of gas. The active ingredient is polyether amine (PEA), the strongest detergent legal for automotive fuel systems. PEA dissolves carbon, gum, and varnish that build up on injectors and valves over time. This is the same chemistry Chevron uses in their Techron-blend gasoline, but concentrated — one bottle treats up to 20 gallons of fuel.
