Yes, this filter comes pre-oiled from the factory. You can install it right out of the box. When you clean and re-oil the filter, be sure to use aFe's filter oil to maintain optimal performance.

How do I clean this filter?

aFe sells a filter cleaning kit separately. Use aFe's filter cleaner to remove dirt and debris from the filter. After cleaning, allow the filter to dry completely, then re-oil it with aFe filter oil before reinstalling.
