The cleaning interval depends on your driving conditions. aFe designed this filter with tall, evenly spaced pleats for excellent dust-holding capacity, which extends the service cycle. Check it periodically, and clean when you see a buildup of dirt and debris.

Can I use oil on this filter?

No, this is a non-oiled filter. It uses three layers of progressive synthetic media for filtration. Oiling it could damage the filter material and reduce its effectiveness.

How do I clean this filter?

aFe recommends using their filter cleaning solution, or a mild dish soap and water. Rinse the filter thoroughly from the clean side out, and allow it to air dry completely before reinstalling. Do not use compressed air or heat to dry the filter, as this can damage the media.
