How often should I clean this filter?

The cleaning interval depends on your driving conditions. aFe designed this filter with a large dust-holding capacity, so it can go longer between cleanings. Inspect the filter regularly, and clean it when you see a buildup of dirt and debris.

What do I use to clean this filter?

aFe recommends using their filter cleaning solution, part number 90-59999. Apply the cleaner to the dirty side of the filter, let it soak, and then rinse it thoroughly with water from the clean side out. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling.

Does this filter require oiling?

No, this is a dry filter and does not require oiling. Oiling a dry filter can actually reduce its filtration efficiency and damage the synthetic media. Just clean it when it's dirty and reinstall.
