Product Details
The MR-4262 is a new magnetic coil strut assembly designed for the front of 2014–2018 GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado trucks (4WD) equipped with Z95 MagneRide. This electronically controlled magnetic strut is a direct OE replacement, engineered to restore proper factory ride height while maintaining adaptive suspension performance. In addition to truck applications, the MR-4262 can also be installed on 2015–2020 GM Short Wheelbase (4WD) and Long Wheelbase (RWD/4WD) SUVs, as well as 2014–2018 Sierra and Silverado (2WD) models with MagneRide, when a 1 inch lift over factory ride height is desired. At the core of the assembly is an OES monotube damper filled with magnetorheological fluid, a synthetic hydrocarbon oil containing iron particles that respond instantly to magnetic fields. When the electromagnetic coil is energized, the particles align to alter the viscosity of the fluid, allowing the suspension to adjust stiffness in real time for precise handling and ride comfort. The MR-4262 arrives pre-assembled with a powder-coated coil spring, upper strut mount, bump stop, spring seat, and isolator for quick plug-and-play installation. It fits either front position, includes a detailed installation manual, and is designed and assembled in the USA. For the best results, Arnott recommends replacing struts in pairs.
