Product Details
You get ARP head studs in this ARP Porsche 944 head stud kit. This kit replaces the stock head bolts on your 1983-1989 Porsche 944 with 2.5L or 3.0L SOHC or DOHC engines. ARP studs offer a more consistent clamping force than stock bolts, which helps prevent cylinder head gasket leaks, especially on modified or high-performance engines.
ARP uses 8740 chromoly steel for these studs, heat-treated to a tensile strength of 200,000 psi. They are centerless ground for a perfect concentricity and thread rolled after heat-treat to give them twice the fatigue strength of a comparable stud made the conventional way. The studs are black oxide finished to resist corrosion.
