These ARP rod bolts are made from ARP's proprietary 8740 chrome moly steel, a well-known material for its strength and durability. When you're rebuilding the bottom end of your VW or Audi 2.0L FSI or TFSI engine, especially if you plan on pushing it beyond stock power levels, upgrading the connecting rod bolts is a smart move.
