Worn-out head studs cause gasket leaks. This ARP VW VR6 12pt Undercut Head Stud Kit is a direct fix for your 1995-1999 and 2002-2005 Volkswagen Golf. These studs are stronger than the factory ones and help ensure a solid seal between the cylinder head and the engine block, especially when you're pushing more power.
ARP uses 8740 chromoly steel for these studs, heat-treated to 200,000 psi tensile strength. The undercut design allows for more even tensioning of the cylinder head gasket. The 12-point nuts make them easier to torque down compared to standard hex nuts.
