You get a set of AST 5100 Series Non Coil Over Coilovers for your 2004, 2008-2009 Ford Focus. These are designed to give you better road balance for daily driving, controlling your car's grip by adjusting rebound and ride height. The front dampers use a coilover design, while the rear maintains a divorced setup like the original equipment, making for a more comfortable ride that still handles well.
AST uses a monotube design for these dampers. This means a larger piston is used to control the rebound damping adjustments. Monotube dampers don't get foamy or aerated, so the valving responds more quickly. You can adjust the rebound damping through 12 positions to get the feel you want. The springs are vehicle-specific and fixed for the rear. These coilovers are built to use your car's original top mounts.
