This 6-foot pre-terminated harness is designed to plug directly into the back of your AutoMeter GPS speedometer. It lets you connect to a third-party GPS receiver that's sending NEMA data. This is really handy if you've already got an antenna setup on your boat or off-road vehicle, as it supports various baud rates from 4800 up to 115200.
You can also use this harness alongside an AutoMeter antenna for a backup speed signal. If the third-party signal is active, it automatically takes priority, allowing your external AutoMeter antenna to serve as a redundant source. This setup ensures you maintain a reliable speed reading, even if one signal source is interrupted.
