You get a front mounted intercooler in this AWE Tuning Q5 2.0T Front Mounted Intercooler. When you add performance software or more boost to your 2.0T Audi Q5, intake air temperatures can climb, hurting performance. This intercooler is designed to bring those temperatures back under control. It uses a larger core and end tank package than the stock unit to cool the intake charge more effectively.
AWE used CAD modeling to design this intercooler, aiming to keep costs down by reusing the factory hoses and clamps. The results showed a reduction in intake air temperatures by as much as 31 degrees F, nearly a 25% drop over stock. Lower intake temperatures mean more consistent power, especially in warmer weather or with higher boost levels.
