It's larger and less restrictive than the stock intake, allowing more oxygen-rich air into the cylinders.
This intake elbow is designed to improve airflow coming from the intercooler. It raises boost levels without increasing backpressure at the turbine, which can lead to a more responsive engine and better fuel economy. The system includes six 1/8-inch NPT ports for adding gauges or other accessories.
