Already running a truck with an electric fan? This Banks Ram-Air intake is the next piece to help it breathe better. It feeds your 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, or 6.2L Chevy or GMC gas engine cooler, denser outside air. This helps get more power and can improve fuel economy.
The Ram-Air intake uses an enclosed housing to keep out hot engine air. Banks tested this intake using computer software and on the vehicle to make sure it works. The giant dry filter maximizes airflow while keeping dirt out. It's designed to handle engine movement, too. If your stock intake has a pressure sensor, you'll need to move it to the new housing and zip tie it out of the way; it's no longer accurate with this higher-flowing intake.
