Already running a modified 7.3L Power Stroke? This Banks Power Big Head Actuator Assembly is the next piece to get more out of your turbo. The stock wastegate actuator spring can let the wastegate open too early under boost, which limits midrange torque. This unit doubles the diaphragm area and spring pressure of the stock part, keeping the wastegate shut longer to build boost faster and hold it steady for better pulling power.
This BigHead actuator is designed to keep the wastegate valve seated longer, allowing for higher peak boost to be achieved sooner. Once peak boost is reached, it precisely controls the wastegate opening to maintain that boost level. This results in crisper acceleration and more consistent mid-range pulling power.
