This BD Diesel exhaust brake is designed to help you manage your vehicle's speed more effectively, especially on long descents. It works by restricting exhaust flow, which creates backpressure that slows the engine and, in turn, the vehicle.

BD Diesel has been refining their exhaust brake designs for nearly 30 years, using real-world experience from countless miles on highways and mountain passes. This universal model features their exclusive Variable Orifice Technology, which uses a solid, offset butterfly valve. Unlike some designs that rely on holes or extra parts to create backpressure, BD's system provides up to 150 retarding horsepower across the entire engine RPM range. The housing is made from rugged cast iron, and key components like the butterfly valve and shaft are stainless steel to resist corrosion and the high heat of the exhaust environment. It also includes BD's alumibronze bushing and piston ring seals for durability.

This kit is designed for universal fitment on vehicles with a 3.5-inch exhaust diameter and includes everything needed for installation, such as the valve assembly, air tubing, a toggle switch, regulator, control assembly, and all necessary mounting hardware.
