They replace your stock stamped steel arms, which tend to flex and absorb power, with a much stronger, more rigid design. BMR builds these control arms from heavy-duty 1.5-x-3-inch steel tubing with a 0.120-inch wall thickness, then laser cuts and boxes them for maximum strength. Inside, you'll find greasable, 95-durometer polyurethane bushings. These aren't your typical stiff bushings; BMR designed them with internal flutes that help distribute grease evenly. This keeps the bushings well-lubricated under high loads, ensuring quiet operation and long life while still providing a much more solid feel than the stock rubber bushings.
