Product Details
BMR Suspension is known for making well-built chassis and suspension components that improve vehicle performance. These non-adjustable lower A-arms are a prime example, designed to directly link your front wheels to the chassis of your 1964-1972 A-Body vehicle, like a Buick Skylark or Chevrolet Chevelle. When stock A-arms flex, it throws off your alignment, which hurts how the car handles and feels. BMR tackles this by fabricating these arms from strong DOM tubing, specifically 1.500-inch and 1.525-inch diameter with a 0.095-inch wall thickness, and reinforcing them with laser-cut, CNC-formed plate steel braces. This construction effectively eliminates deflection, giving you a much more solid and responsive connection to the road.
Inside these A-arms, you'll find heavy-duty ball joints and greasable, 95-durometer polyurethane bushings. These aren't your typical rubber bushings; they offer a significantly more solid feel and reduce unwanted flex, which translates to improved steering response and feel during both normal driving and more spirited sessions. BMR's polyurethane bushings are designed with internal flutes to ensure grease evenly coats the inner sleeve and lubricates the thrust surface, promoting quiet operation and long life. The tubular design also helps reduce weight compared to the stock arms, offering a good balance between performance and comfort for street performance, drag racing, or pro-touring setups.
These A-arms are finished in a durable red powdercoat for a long-lasting, good-looking appearance. Installation is estimated to take 3-4 hours. For a complete upgrade, BMR highly recommends their RH006 control arm hardware kit, which includes hardware for both upper and lower control arms.
