When you're working on the front end of your 1982-1992 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird, you'll find a lot of weight in the factory K-member. This BMR Suspension KM007 Tubular K-member is designed to replace that heavy stock component with a much lighter and stronger unit. It's built from 1-1/2-inch by 0.120-inch wall DOM steel tubing and 3/16-inch laser-cut, CNC-formed steel plate, making it incredibly rigid without adding significant mass. This K-member is a 100-percent bolt-in part, meaning no modifications are needed for installation, and it's designed to work with your factory steering setup.

What really sets this K-member apart is its integrated engine mounts, which are designed to accept traditional Small Block Chevrolet (SBC) and Big Block Chevrolet (BBC) engines. This makes engine swaps much simpler and also helps shed more weight compared to using separate engine mounts. The design also offers improved clearance for larger exhaust headers or turbocharger piping. BMR Suspension offers this K-member in a durable Black Hammertone finish for a clean look that holds up over time. When paired with BMR's A-arms, you can commonly see a weight reduction of around 42 pounds from the front end alone, and potentially up to 100 pounds with other lightweight front-end components.

This K-member is intended for street performance, drag racing, and road racing applications where reducing weight and increasing chassis rigidity are key. Please note that this K-member is not compatible with the OE A-arms; you will need to use aftermarket A-arms with this component. Installation typically takes about 4-5 hours.
