The factory K-member is a heavy piece, and upgrading to a tubular design like this one can make a significant difference in how your car handles and performs, especially if you're building a street machine, drag car, or road racer. It's designed to be a direct bolt-in replacement, meaning no cutting or welding is required to get it installed.

BMR builds this K-member using 1-1/2-inch by 0.120-inch wall DOM steel tubing and 3/16-inch thick laser-cut, CNC-formed steel plates. This construction makes it incredibly strong while keeping the weight down compared to the stock unit. A notable benefit of this design is the integrated engine mounts, which are specifically set up to accept traditional Small Block Chevrolet (SBC) and Big Block Chevrolet (BBC) engines without any fabrication needed. This also opens up more room for larger diameter exhaust tubing or turbocharger plumbing. While it's designed to work with the factory steering components, keep in mind it is not compatible with the OE A-arms.
