This Borla S-Type axle-back exhaust system is what you get in the box: the rear muffler section and dual 4-inch round black chrome exhaust tips. It's designed to replace the stock rear muffler on your fourth-generation Mazda 3 Sedan, whether it's the naturally aspirated 2.5L Skyactiv engine or the 2.5L Turbo model. This system is a direct bolt-on, making installation straightforward without needing any welding.

Borla specifically tuned this S-Type system for the Mazda 3's engines to give you a sportier exhaust note and a more engaging driving feel. You'll notice increased exhaust velocity, which can contribute to a bit more power and a more exciting response from your car. The system uses ultra-smooth mandrel bends to ensure maximum flow, and the precision manufacturing means it fits accurately. The tips are made from T-304 stainless steel with a black chrome finish, designed to fill out the bumper cutouts nicely. For cleaning these black tips, Borla recommends using hot water and a microfiber cloth, and advises against using their standard Stainless Steel Polish.
