This Borla cat-back system uses their patented straight-through and multi-core technology, which is designed to increase exhaust velocity. This can lead to improved horsepower and a more engaging driving experience. The construction is from T-304 austenitic stainless steel, which is a strong material that resists corrosion and ensures durability over time, unlike some other stainless steel grades. The exhaust pipes feature ultra-smooth mandrel bends, ensuring that the flow of exhaust gases is as unrestricted as possible, contributing to better performance. It's important to note that this system is specifically the ATAK sound level, which Borla describes as aggressive with no drone. Also, this system is not compatible with the 3.5L V6 PowerBoost, Raptor, Tremor, or trucks with the Black Appearance Package. For cleaning the black chrome tips, Borla recommends using hot water and a microfiber cloth, and advises against using their standard Stainless Steel Polish.
