When a check engine light points to catalyst efficiency or you are heading into an emissions test, Cataclean is one of the few fuel additives that carries an EPA approval for reducing exhaust emissions. This 16 oz bottle treats the entire fuel and exhaust system, from injectors through the catalytic converter.
Cataclean works by reducing carbon deposits that accumulate on fuel injectors, oxygen sensors, cylinder heads, and inside the catalytic converter itself. Independent emissions testing has shown the product can lower total hydrocarbon emissions by up to 50 percent, which can make the difference between passing and failing a state inspection. The formula is safe for gasoline, diesel, and hybrid engines, and it is legal in all 50 states.
Using it is simple: pour the entire bottle into the fuel tank when you have about a quarter tank of fuel, then drive for at least 15 minutes before refueling. Cataclean recommends using the product four times a year to maintain clean injectors and a healthy catalytic converter. It will not alter your fuel composition or harm engine seals.

It is fantastic. My mechanic recommended it when my check engine light came on and pointed to a plugged converter. I used it but one of the dual converters had blown out so I had to replace them and the one that was intact was spotless just like the day it had been manufactured. Excellent cleaner.

It worked as promised. I poured in tank at 1/4 drove the car on the highway for about 20 miles and then 10 in the city. I then cleared the code and it has yet to return. Code was p0420.
