Product Details
Chevron developed Techron around polyetheramine, commonly known as PEA, which is widely regarded as one of the most effective detergent chemistries for cleaning fuel systems. One 12 oz bottle treats up to 12 gallons of fuel and goes to work on the entire fuel system in a single tankful, targeting deposits on fuel injectors, intake valves, and combustion chambers.
Carbon deposits build up naturally over time and can cause hesitation, knocking, pinging, and reduced fuel economy. Techron addresses all three deposit zones at once rather than just cleaning injectors alone. It is safe for catalytic converters and oxygen sensors, and it is fully compatible with all commercially available ethanol blends including E10, E15, and E85. The formula works in carbureted, two-stroke, four-stroke, port fuel injected, and direct injected gasoline engines.
For ongoing maintenance, Chevron recommends using Techron every 3,000 miles or at each oil change interval to prevent deposit buildup before it affects performance.

Works Great
I bought a Honda Insight back in 2001. At that time I started participating in various online forums for owners of what where then new fangled hybrid technology. One area that came up was injector cleaning and Techron was, hands down, the #1 recommended cleaner. I have been using it since then about every 5,000 miles. Recently I noticed my vehicle was hesitating when I would start to accelerate from stopping. Realizing it had been a while since I cleaned the injectors, I put a bottle in during my recent fill up. Having only driven about 120 miles so far, the hesitation is now gone and the engine is much more responsive. I highly recommend Techron.
