This Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket from Cometic is built to seal your cylinders effectively. It's designed with multiple layers of stainless steel, giving it strength and the ability to rebound, which helps resist corrosion and maintain a solid seal over time.
The outer layers of this gasket are coated with Viton, a heat-resistant rubber material that can handle temperatures up to 482°F (250°C). This coating is applied to both sides and is designed to work well with different block and head materials, like aluminum to aluminum or aluminum to cast iron, without needing extra sealants. The center layer is stainless steel and can be varied in thickness; in this case, the compressed thickness is 0.050 inches, and it's made for an 88mm bore.
