This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is designed for Volvo B23, B230, and B234 engines from 1978 through 1998. It features a 97mm bore and a compressed thickness of 0.060 inches, making it a solid option for engine rebuilds or performance upgrades on a range of Volvo models like the 240, 740, and 940 series.
Comprised of multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, this gasket offers increased strength and resistance to corrosion. The outer layers are coated with Viton, a heat-resistant rubber material that can handle temperatures up to 482 degrees Fahrenheit and works well with both aluminum and cast iron engine blocks.
