You get one head gasket with a 4.040 inch bore and a compressed thickness of 0.075 inches. This gasket is built with multiple layers of stainless steel for increased strength and corrosion resistance. The outer layers are coated with Viton, a heat-resistant rubber material that handles harsh sealing environments and various surface finishes without needing additional sealants.

MLS gaskets are well-suited for applications using aluminum heads with either aluminum or cast iron blocks, as they can manage the shearing forces between different metals.
