This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with three to five layers of stainless steel, chosen for its strength and resistance to corrosion. The outer layers are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton rubber, a material that can handle temperatures up to 482°F (250°C) and works well in tough sealing conditions and on various surface finishes.
With an 87mm bore and a .056 inch thickness, this gasket is specifically made for the 4G63 engine found in certain Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution models, as well as fitting specific Nissan models. The stainless steel construction offers improved strength and rebound compared to traditional materials, while the Viton coating ensures a solid seal even under demanding loads.
