This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, featuring Viton rubber coating on the outer layers. This construction is designed to handle the demands of high-output engines and provides excellent sealing performance without needing additional sealants. It's a solid choice for mating aluminum heads to either aluminum or cast iron blocks, as it can manage the shearing forces that can occur between different metals.
The stainless steel layers offer increased strength and resistance to corrosion, while the Viton coating on both sides is heat resistant up to 482°F (250°C), making it suitable for harsh sealing environments and various surface finishes.
