Built with three to five layers of stainless steel, this Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is designed for Chevrolet Gen-1 Small Block V8 engines. The stainless steel construction offers increased strength and resistance to corrosion, while its ability to rebound helps maintain a tight seal under various conditions. This gasket fits a wide range of vehicles, including models like the 1980-1986 Chevrolet C10 and 1980-1982 Chevrolet Corvette.

The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton, a heat-resistant rubber material capable of withstanding temperatures up to 482°F (250°C).
