Built with AFM material, a chemically blown synthetic rubber bonded to an aluminum core, these Cometic intake manifold gaskets are designed to handle temperatures over 250°F. This material offers 85 percent recovery and strong torque retention, ensuring a solid seal for your Chevrolet Gen-1 Small Block V8 engine. The gaskets are precisely sized for a 1.245" x 1.980" rectangle port, suitable for 23-degree cylinder heads and featuring an exhaust crossover passage.
These gaskets are made to meet and exceed OEM quality standards. Because of the AFM material's properties, you won't need to use gasket sealers or re-torque the manifold after installation, simplifying the job. They are also manufactured to a .020 inch thickness, which is important for maintaining proper compression and intake runner geometry.
