This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with multiple embossed stainless steel layers, featuring an outer coating of Viton rubber. This construction is designed to handle the demands of high-output engines, offering excellent sealing performance without the need for additional sealants. It's well-suited for applications pairing aluminum heads with either aluminum or cast iron blocks, as the multi-layer design can effectively manage the shearing forces that can arise between dissimilar metals.

The stainless steel layers provide increased strength and resistance to corrosion, while also allowing the gasket to rebound.
