This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, featuring an outer layer coated with Viton rubber. This construction is designed to provide maximum sealing performance for high-output engines and doesn't require additional sealants. MLS gaskets are a solid choice for sealing aluminum heads to either aluminum or cast iron blocks, as they can handle the shearing forces that can occur between different metals. The multiple stainless steel layers give the gasket increased strength and the ability to rebound, while also resisting corrosion.
