This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with three to five layers of stainless steel, chosen for its strength and resistance to corrosion. It's designed for Ford Windsor V8 engines with a 4.100 inch bore, specifically for non-SVO applications. The gasket measures .023 inches thick, which is a common specification for many rebuilds and performance builds on these engines.
The outer layers of this gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton, a heat-resistant rubber material.
