This is a Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket designed for Ford Windsor V8 engines with a 4.100 inch bore. The MLS construction offers increased strength and resistance to corrosion, thanks to its multiple stainless steel layers.
The outer layers of this gasket are embossed and coated with Viton, a heat-resistant rubber material rated up to 482°F (250°C).
