This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, featuring an outer coating of Viton rubber. With a compressed thickness of 0.075 inches and a 4.100-inch bore, it’s designed for Ford 302 and 351 Windsor V8 engines, including SVO/Yates and RHS applications. MLS gaskets are ideal for high-output engines and can handle the stresses between aluminum heads and cast iron blocks, or aluminum heads and aluminum blocks, without needing additional sealants.

The stainless steel layers provide increased strength and resistance to corrosion, while also allowing the gasket to rebound. The Viton coating on the outer layers is a heat-resistant material capable of withstanding temperatures up to 482°F (250°C), making it suitable for demanding sealing environments.
