This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, featuring an outer layer coated with Viton rubber. This construction is designed for high-output engines and offers a compressed operating thickness of 0.051 inches with a 4.100-inch bore, specifically for Ford 351 Cleveland engines. MLS gaskets are ideal for sealing aluminum heads to either aluminum or cast iron blocks, as they can handle the shearing forces that can occur between dissimilar metals.
