It's built with a 92mm bore and a .036 inch thickness, designed to provide a reliable seal between your cylinder head and engine block. This gasket fits a wide variety of Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles, including popular models like the Ford F-150, Crown Victoria, and Mercury Grand Marquis.
Cometic constructs these MLS gaskets using three to five layers of stainless steel. They chose stainless steel for its strength, its ability to spring back after compression, and its resistance to corrosion. The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and then coated on both sides with Viton, a high-temperature rubber material.
