Cometic Ford FE V8 .030in MLS Cylinder Head Gasket - 4.400in Bore - Does Not Fit 427 SOHC Cammer

This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with multiple embossed stainless steel layers, featuring a compressed operating thickness of .030 inches. The outer layers are coated with Viton, a heat-resistant rubber material capable of handling temperatures up to 482°F (250°C), making it suitable for sealing aluminum heads to either aluminum or cast iron blocks. This construction helps manage the shearing forces between dissimilar metals and provides increased strength and corrosion resistance.

The center layer is uncoated stainless steel, allowing for variations in thickness to meet different engine requirements. Because these MLS gaskets are designed for maximum sealing performance, they do not require any additional sealants. This gasket is specifically made for Ford FE V8 engines with a 4.400-inch bore and is compatible with a wide range of Ford and Mercury vehicles from the late 1950s through the mid-1970s, including models like the Ford F-100, Ford Fairlane, and Mercury Caliente. Please note, this gasket does not fit the 427 SOHC Cammer engine.
