This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built for your Ford Pre-Crossflow OHV Kent or Crossflow OHV Kent engine, and also fits Lotus Twin Cam and Cosworth BD Series applications. It's designed with a compressed thickness of 0.045 inches and an 86mm bore, providing a solid seal between your cylinder head and engine block.
The gasket is constructed from multiple layers of stainless steel for increased strength and resistance to corrosion. The outer layers are coated with Viton, a heat-resistant rubber material that can handle high temperatures up to 482°F (250°C). This construction means the gasket doesn't require any additional sealants and is suitable for use with aluminum heads on either aluminum or cast iron blocks, as it can handle the stresses between different metals.
