Starting with a compressed operating thickness of 0.036 inches, this Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built for serious sealing performance. It's specifically designed for engines like the Ford Pre-Crossflow OHV Kent and Crossflow OHV Kent, as well as the Lotus Twin Cam, ensuring a solid seal between your cylinder head and block. The multi-layer stainless steel construction offers increased strength and resistance to corrosion, while the outer layers are coated with Viton, a heat-resistant rubber material capable of handling temperatures up to 482°F (250°C).
