This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with three to five layers of stainless steel, chosen for its strength and resistance to corrosion. The outer layers are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton, a heat-resistant rubber material capable of handling temperatures up to 482°F (250°C). This makes it well-suited for the demanding conditions found in BMW M30B34 and M30B35 engines.
