This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with a 4.190 inch bore and a compressed thickness of .051 inches. It’s constructed from multiple layers of stainless steel, with the outer layers embossed and coated in Viton, a heat-resistant rubber material rated up to 482 F. This design helps ensure a solid seal for high-output engines, working well with both aluminum and cast iron blocks. The center layer is uncoated stainless steel, allowing for precise thickness control.

The multi-layer steel construction provides increased strength and resistance to corrosion, while the Viton coating on the outer layers handles demanding sealing environments and surface finishes.
