This Cometic MLX head gasket is built with multiple layers of stainless steel, featuring an embossed design. The outer layers are coated with Viton, a heat-resistant rubber material that can handle temperatures up to 482°F (250°C), making it suitable for demanding sealing environments and various surface finishes.

The multi-layer steel construction offers increased strength and resistance to corrosion, while the center shim layer can be varied to achieve different thicknesses. This gasket has a bore size of 4.150 inches and an overall thickness of .040 inches, with a compressed operating thickness of .036 inches.
