Cometic Honda/Acura DOHC 81mm bore .066 inch thick MLS Head Gasket

This product is a Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket designed for the DOHC engines in your 1990-2001 Acura Integra. It features an 81mm bore and a compressed operating thickness of 0.066 inches. MLS gaskets are built with multiple layers of stainless steel, giving them increased strength and the ability to rebound and resist corrosion. They are ideal for sealing between aluminum heads and either aluminum or cast iron blocks, handling the shearing forces that can occur between these materials.

The outer layers of this gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton, a heat-resistant rubber material rated up to 482 degrees Fahrenheit. Viton is chosen for its ability to handle tough sealing environments, varying load conditions, and different surface finishes. The center layer is uncoated stainless steel, and its thickness can be varied to meet different requirements. Because of their construction, these MLS gaskets do not require any additional sealants for installation.
