This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with three to five layers of stainless steel, giving it increased strength and resistance to corrosion. The outer layers are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton rubber, which can handle temperatures up to 482°F and works well in tough sealing conditions. This gasket has an 88mm bore and a .045 inch thickness, specifically made for the Honda F20C, F20C1, F20C2, and F22C1 engines found in the S2000.
Using stainless steel for the core layers means this gasket has good rebound characteristics and holds up well under pressure.
