This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with embossed outer layers coated in Viton, a heat-resistant rubber material that can handle temperatures up to 482 degrees Fahrenheit. It's designed specifically for Honda B-series engines that use a non-VTEC block with VTEC heads, like the setup found in some 1997-2001 Honda CR-Vs and 1990-1991 Honda Preludes.

The MLS construction uses multiple layers of stainless steel, which gives it increased strength and resistance to corrosion.
