This is a Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket designed for Honda K20 and K24 engines. You get one MLS head gasket with an 87mm bore and a compressed thickness of .051 inches. This gasket is built to handle the demands of high-output engines without needing additional sealants.
Comprised of multiple stainless steel layers, this gasket offers increased strength and the ability to rebound, which helps resist corrosion. The outer layers are coated with Viton, a heat-resistant rubber material that can handle temperatures up to 482°F (250°C). This coating is designed to seal effectively in harsh conditions and on various surface finishes. The center layer is uncoated stainless steel, and the multi-layer design makes it suitable for sealing aluminum heads to aluminum blocks, as well as aluminum heads to cast iron blocks, as it can withstand the shearing forces between different metals.
