This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, featuring an outer coating of Viton rubber. With a compressed thickness of .030 inches, it's specifically designed for Jaguar 3.8L 6-cylinder engines with an 88mm bore. MLS gaskets are ideal for sealing aluminum heads to either aluminum or cast iron blocks, effectively handling the shearing forces that can occur between different metals. They offer increased strength and resistance to corrosion, thanks to their layered stainless steel construction, and are designed to rebound and maintain their seal.
